To mark the event CarnaticRadio.com organizes a Raga Identifying Competition in Three Categories (open to residents of Singapore): -
- Junior – Aged upto 15
There will be 40 audio / video clippings of about each 45 seconds where candidates are to identify the Raga and there will be another 20 questions to identify the Thalam or Singer or Composer
- Senior – Aged from 16 to 21
There will be 50 audio / video clippings of about 30 seconds each where candidates are to identify the Raga and there will be another 30 questions to identify the Thalam or Singer or Composer
- Open - Above 22.
There will be 60 audio / video clippings of about 20 seconds each where candidates are to identify the Raga and there will be another 40 questions to identify the Thalam or Singer or Composer
